Hi

Just a quick question. I was upgrading an eligible family *cough* member for their upcoming flight to MEL and saw that I have an old booking that appears "live"on the QF website.

The flights are:

Flight 1 From To Flight Departure Terminal Check-in
Closes Checked
Baggage
Sun 10 Feb 08 11:55 Sydney 17:45 Hong Kong QF127 1 90 minutes before departure 30 kg
Details
Flight 2
Tue 12 Feb 08 19:00 Hong Kong 21:20 Shanghai (Pudong International) CX6866 1 Details 30 kg
Details
Flight 3
Sat 16 Feb 08 12:00 Shanghai (Pudong International) 15:40 Tokyo
(Narita)
JL622 1 Details
Flight 4
Sat 16 Feb 08 20:00 Tokyo
(Narita)
07:55
(Sun) Sydney QF022 2 90 minutes before departure 30 kg
Details

All for 2008 and I am sure that I actually flew them. They are greyed out though so I am not sure if something weird is going on. Is there a way to sneakily try to check on what this is without phoning QF?

A tiny part of me is wondering whether I could chnage the dates on these fligths to be 2009 rather than 2008 and do a quick mileage run ;)

I think this might be related to the fact that somehow some booking got corrupted and I got flicked from CX to QF (where we had the soup incident).

I know there is in reality nothing I can do with these flights but tehy just seem to be hanging around...

Note the button to upgrade using points is still live

I don't know why it happens, but I have had the odd booking or two hang around for months after the flights took place (never almost a year though!). I couldn't actually do anything with them though.

I have only seen this happen when the original booking engine was not Amadeus. You will not be able to change and use the flights as the associated ticket number will be invalid as it will have "expired" when the last sector of the original ticket was flown.

You could try www.checkmytrip.com for a different view.

Our LONE4 bookings are still showing last June's travel - 'greyed out' as mentioned. Of course we still have a few segments to complete in April and May.

Yep had a booking like this once. It disappeared by itself one day.

Yep, seems to be a common scenario, lasts longer if there's last minute changes to bookings (no matter who does them!).

Another QF.com bug.
