Great news. I will update the spreadsheet. (31!). If this keeps up QF may have to do an equipment swap to a 747 to keep all the DYKWIAs happy. ;)

Incidentally, I have added a 'bus' column to keep an eye on the numbers.

Bus - 1 please

I so wish I could make it! :( I may be in SIN around that time for a last minute trip so unlikely to be in the country..

Jessica - Bus - 1 please

I'm not sure if the bus allows multiple drop offs. The price was quoted as airport to Hilton or city. So maybe they can do a couple of drop offs.

I was thinking a bus column on the spreadsheet would be good. I've offered to maintain the Friday drinks but and I'll do my bit for the bus as well.

Please put me down for one seat. Have just booked my flights and a night at the Hilton.

Looking forward to being a part of the event. :)

And I'll be at the dinner.
I'm claiming Hvr's guest spots at the FLounge and the Hilton. I will book my flight today or tomorrow. I'd love a seat on the bus as well please.

I need to decide whether to fly down Friday or Saturday. I guess this is such an important event I should fly down the day before. Don't want any delays to ruin the plan.

2 x seats for the bus for us please - HLO.
Great idea!

Entirely up to you, but there will be a small gathering for drinks on Friday night.

If you choose to skip drinks Friday night, you could catch QF8 Sat morning which will deposit you in the international terminal at 0810. Saves having to transit. You could even join Heleigh in the BNE Flounge, if she cared to guest you in. That would make the SYD Flounge that much more special. ;)

If you choose to join us on Friday, you could be whisked through First check-in with the rest of us Saturday morning.

I like that plan but what if QF8 is QFlate?

Newbies booking into the Hilton - Guesting is not a right into the lounge. The rules are the access is granted to the room occupants. If you have a friend "staying" with you (i.e. guest), ensure you have 2 people in your booking :)

(munitalP handy hint #68)

Just to make sure everyone is clear -

I am happy to 'pair' WPs with non WPs for the Flounge as that is within the rules. That was basically why I started the spreadsheet, to keep track of who could guest and who needed to be guested.

Entry into the Hilton exec lounge is a different process. You must effectively be staying in the same room as the HH Diamond (or upgraded Gold) to be guested. If the person has only booked a room for 1 person, there is no 'extra person' able to be guested. When I booked my room I booked for 2, to allow for this. Of course as I am Gold, I still need to be upgraded to an exec room to get exec privileges.

If you have not booked an exec room, or are not HHD or G, then you will need to make contact with someone who is to ensure you can be guested through.

Should Hilton decide to police this, it will be very easy to determine if someone has just 'snuck' in.

This is the one part of the weekend I cannot control. I hope we will all be able to share a drink and a giggle in the Hilton lounge for an hour or so, but it is not guaranteed.

Jessica, you are doing an excellent job, if we don't all get in the exec lounge, then there are many, many other places to have a drink & giggle :D

I'll just be happy for my first visit to the Flounge and to meet many of you and put some faces to some names, anything on top of this is pure cream...

You would miss QFlounge time! Others would be better to advise the on time performance of QF8 than I, although it may be risky coming from the States.

FWIW I've done the QF8 thing a couple of times & have lost lounge time, every time....for such a short connection time & given the special events associated with this Flounge visit - I would recommend a DOM connection with bus ride.

I hate to put the pox on anyone......it appears a great show & it would be a shame to miss the main event.

An update (of sorts). I rang Wah Hing tonight to check on if BYO available, and it is @ $15 a bottle (not $9 that I though).

And the menu for all to see.
