the critical word is 'from'. The fuel example omits the word 'from'. Qantas does not.
No, using my example, the sign would say "Fuel from $1.10/litre year round". The Qantas graph shows the base price (the 'from' price') as being available for particular intervals, like my postulated fuel sign.
But here's the solution to all of this. Qantas advertises fares on this route "From $1,159 year round." That's what you are saying, I think ... 'from' is the lowest price in the period, but not available all the time. So why don't they do this - it sounds a lot better and would be more accurate. They don't because they only have that sale price for discrete periods. They separate out and show graphically those periods where its not available. What limewood and I are saying is that they should separate out all the periods its not available, not just some, and update if needs be.
