Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Ita at the IC Rialto yesterday

Oh Ita is absolutely lovely! I've met her a few times back in my 'media/advertising' days! Her and Stan Zemanik(?) used to do a segment for the agency called 'Our Choice'. She and Stan were an absolute pleasure to deal with! So easygoing and down to earth!

Mark Taylor has just arrived too.

Actually a whole lot more cricket people too (whom I have no idea of their names - sorry)

I guess too many and too hard to determine where and what sports to draw the line, but for some reason I had assumed Australian cricket captains would be CL!

Nick Xenophon in the MEL VA lounge and then on my VA flight MEL-ADL on Tuesday. He was in about row 9.

Aren't all sitting MPS members of The Club? Maybe he's disowned it in the interests of being 'independent'?

Only if they win the Ashes. If they don't, they can consider themselves lucky if they avoid a middle seat near the lav.

Only when captain. Bit like PM.

I think you'll find ex-PMs will retain CL for life.

I would have thought PMs were there for life too - though we're getting to have rather a few there as well.

Flying MEL-SYD earlier today: across the aisle from me (in row 1) was a certain R. Ponting...

Former PM Julia Gillard in the SYD F Lounge on Sunday. Had one of the meeting rooms booked - but the door was open for the brief period I was nearby.

Way back in November, MEL F Lounge with a very much delayed QF93 to LAX spotted Ricky Ponting and Geoffrey Edelsten (famous/infamous). Happy that R. Ponting was seated across the aisle from me in the front J cabin and had a bit of a chat through the flight. Top Bloke :)

Alannah MacTiernan (Federal member for Perth) on SYD-PER today. She seemed a bit annoyed when she found her overhead bin was already full of other people's stuff.

LOL comes across a little nasty, this one does.

Never see ( or notice ) anyone famous however in USA now and so far.....

First lounge Melbourne Jan 2nd...Hugh Jackman and family, they were then on our flight 93 to LAX

Jan 4th, AA LAX to Chicago....oversold flight, and were upgraded at the gate to first. Donnie Walhburg two rows behind us.
Travelling on his own, very quiet and unassuming.

Now in NYC, hard to spot anyone, as we are all covered up in the snow storm !!

TQ
