Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Not quite flying or lounging but worth an honourable mention IMHO.

Tonight we went to a Petula Clark concert and it was exceptional. (Don't look up how old the is)

Sitting immediately in front of us were all four of 'The Seekers' After the show Sue managed to chat with three of them.

"Downtown - everything's waiting for you".

I didn't realise she was still performing. At 28 I'm probably one of the younger members on the board who:
a) Knows who she is ;and
b) Has her music in his collection

Inversely I'd probably walk straight past Akon and not even realise :)

I'm a little older than you (not much) and had to have someone point out Flayva Flav (who was sitting next to me at the Hilton LAX Bar a few weeks ago). I would have recognised Ms Clark instantly :)

Former Midnight Oil frontman Peter Garrett was once onboard a flight under the command of Capt Peter Garrett. Apparently there were a few giggles in the J cabin when the Captain did his spiel. Sometime during the flight he popped into the cabin to have a chat to his alter ego.

OK .... I had to google Flayva Flav and Akon to see who they were, but Petula Clark I know :D

I've heard of Akon the singer but can't say the same about Flayva Flav who sounds more like an item off the menu at KFC than a rapper.

Flayva and the rest of the Public Enemy crew are touring here in May. Perhaps we should stay tuned to domestic J lounges for more sightings ;)

I'll pay 10 bucks to anyone who wears a giant clock on the next Flounge run.

Well whilst travelling. This morning having brekkie at the 4 Points Sydney-Pete Blasinas with a shirt and matching shoes that made my golf shorts look conservative.

I must say I was the opposite. But Flavor Flav is not exactly a spring chicken, he is well into middle age. I except a lot of those who grew up in the 80s would know who he is. But a lot of teenagers these days wouldn't know who he was.

But getting back on topic. February last year I saw Iron Maiden at Sydney airport. Or to be precise their 757. Lead singer Bruce Dickinson is an airline pilot in his spare time.

Steven Jacobs, right now in the MEL J Lounge (I'd take a pic but I don't want to be 'one of those types' and it's down by the window with light shining in, not good for a photo).

So should I now say "who the hell is Flavya Flav..." and I grew up in the 80's (secondary school in early to mid 80's)
