Hello all!

I am a VA Platinum, travelling with family (total 2 adults + 12yo + 10yo) to Europe on SQ via Singapore with ~24hr stopovers (both directions).

I understand I'm entitled to only one guest in the lounge, regardless of whether they are adult or child. Anything more is subject to the whims of the staff, and I don't want to take that risk if I can find a workaround.

Wondering if its worth one of the adults signing up for the HSBC Star Alliance card for SQ Gold to ensure we all get access to the lounge.

However all flights will be linked to and credit VA Velocity. Can you access the lounge as a SQ Gold, with a guest, even if the BP doesn't have the SQ Gold linked?

Thanks!
