Family trip to Japan - Tokyo and ski adventure

Someone asked earlier in the thread "why Grandeco?". I think the answer lies in QF WP's photo above of the lift line for the #1 Quad Chair at Grandeco, compared to the photo of the lift line for the gondola at Niseko in the Skiers and Snowboarders Thread.
