Anyone else experience Qantas multi-city booking availability on AY or JL but get an error when trying to book? I tried to call up and book but they state no seat availability and claim there is a difference between their internal website and the Qantas website. I have been researching these seats for weeks, so its not like they have been sold overnight. Its tantamount to false advertising.

Example - AY1763 HEL - FCO for 13/6/24 showing heaps of space on Qantas site but can't book. JL47 NRT - HEL on 13/6/24 is the same.

So bloody frustrating researching a holiday for hours and have millions of points to spend but never able to use them!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Just so I understand - do the fare classes for both QF and AY same? Meaning, in QF, the fare class for CR Y is X, CR J is U. Is it same for AY too?

If yes, for the HEL-FCO, then there is at least 6 each of X and U seats available on the date & flight you mentioned.

Unsure on fare class. I was just after an economy classic reward seat.

Try using the normal booking engine? It shows up there.

Also BA shows 6 Economy seats for NRT > HEL via FRA (JL to FRA and AY to HEL) on june 13
