Yep, Instagram is where it's at for that demographic. I'd join them because my mum has just joined Facebook except the children have banned me from signing up. :shock:

My sister has a simple answer to that. She refuses to be friends with my dad on Facebook. I unfortunately am, or rather was coerced into it quite some time ago. It would be an act of treason to unfriend him now, but then I'm usually quite careful what I post on Facebook anyway. Being a member of closed groups also helps.

Plus, I wonder how many teens actually know about privacy settings on Facebook?

Some kids (and adults for that matter) have resorted to signing up with a fake name, alias or maiden name to circumvent discovery.
