There is one doing the rounds for Carnival Cruises as well, win cruise etc. I have a friend (female, not that it means anything just wanted you guys to know I do have female friends) who told me about it and when I asked to look and said I thought Carnival Cruises would have had more than 2300 friends or likes or whatever they are she went silent as if I just might be right. (that happens sometimes as well for the record)

Woolwhorths etc. Certainly a few wankers out there. I keep thinking that if they worked on stuff that was helpful we would be happier not receiving spam to delete.
When I received a phony Bunnings gift card offer I picked that up quickly.
The letter from the UK telling me Jeffery .... had passed away and I could be a beneficiary for $33,500,000USD. Of course I thought is that all!

I have a number of people from school who are prime candidates for these scams, really struggling and all that. My comment when they share these things is to say "Really sorry for the bad news but it is a scam. No blue tick next to the name." My second comment is to explain that everyone wins, but you need to pay a fee to get the prize.

It's really hard to dash their hope.

I do find it incredible that people actually engage with these things. Do people have no cynicism whatsoever? Makes me want to get in to the scam business – is it really that easy?

I know we're all pretty well versed in the Qantas brand so can easily pick up on irregularities at a glance, but even those with a once-a-year-or-less exposure to Qantas should find the lack of likes suspicious, as well as the name "Qantas Airline" – seriously?
