I'm new to this phone and what I've realised is I now can't upload pics to AFF unless I've taken the pic with the 'square' setting on the phone camera yet when I go direct to the camera it's on photo and does that "live" thing where there's a few seconds of recording and I suspect the recording bit is what's interfering with uploads but it's my default setting (not that I know how to change this).

Any ideas on how to upload pics with this phone? I just tried taking a screen shot of the pic and uploading that but it didn't work either. I was hoping it would take out the recording bit and fix things.

If there's a thread elsewhere with an answer please direct me to that but I didn't see one (but possibly looking in the wrong place).

Edit: Actually if I airdrop it to laptop and save to photo's it uploads. A work around at least :)

Actually still having some issues. Tried screenshot then airdrop to macbook, save to photos and still can't upload. Managed to upload 2 pics which were jpegs but the png's didn't upload.

Not sure what else to try.

On an iPhone, you need to look to the top of your screen where you will see 5 icons. From left-to-right these are: flash, HDR, Live Photos, timer and photo effects. The middle setting is what is interfering with your uploads from what I understand. To turn the feature off, simply click it so that it isn't highlighted any more. It is active when yellow, inactive when white.

You should also go to Settings > Photos & Camera > Preserve Settings, and make sure "Live Photo" is turned on here. This stops Live Photos from turning back on after you leave the camera application each time. Apple clearly is pushing the feature hard!

Hopefully that should fix the issue, but if not we can troubleshoot some more.

Personally, I find Live Photos the biggest gimmick and very rarely turn them on before taking a photo.

Done! I'll see how it goes with future pics! Thank you:)
