gday all,

Travelling mel-lax next month. I am only a pleb with gold status, and have never experienced an F lounge. Just wondering has anyone ever rang up and asked for a complimentary pass and been successfull???

cheers

Check out the thread for next month, and see if you can be guested by an AFF member, as you don't have much chance otherwise

AFAIK, the FLounge passes was a one off printing as an apology for the grounding. Unless something as dramatic as that ever happens again (which I really hope not) I doubt we'll see anymore FLounge freebie's for non WP / WP1 / CL / F Flyers again.

Whilst I was able to get a replacement for the pass when I lost mine by calling up and asking really nicely, I was already on the list of people who had received one in the past.

That all said, they do have a guest list at the door for non-status / F flyers, and the worst that QF would do if you did call up and ask is say no, I don't see the harm in trying, but I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I am flying to LAX (from Sydney) on Friday. I have bought a admirals club 30 day pass but if an AFF member was able to guest me into the F lounge I would be forever grateful!!

:p

How strictly do they police the policy that your guest should be flying with you or would both being on QF flights be enough?

I think they only have to be flying QF that day but I might be wrong.

I highly doubt I will get guested into the F lounge so if anyone wants to come into the business lounge with me (I think I might get two guests on the admirals club) send me a PM. I am on QF11 to LAX so will be in the lounge from about 11am to 2pm. Also will be in the CBR Qantas Club from about 9am to 9.45am. Again happy to guest.
