Well today is the new Mrs Altair's birthday.
After I pointed out to her that as Mothers Day and her birthday are so close that she will more than likely be short changed if we have kids;) , she now wants to move to a country that has Mothers Day at a different time.

My mum's birthday is always very close to mother's day in the UK - it actually works out well for her as the kids then actually make an effort to be close (if they can) on Mother's day so they can do a double celebration - my family have never all lived in the same city together so its always been a struggle to be home for mother's day...

Lots of family birthdays are either close to each other, or near an important x day. You get used to it.

Mrs. LF has her birthday on the 26th December and all through her childhood her birthday cake was left over Christmas cake and a present that had hastily pulled from what normally have been a Christmas present. I look after her now though.

Like having the 24th Dec as a birthday, the comment lots of time was [is]
"the present is a birthday/xmas combined
One present augrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........................................

As long as it is one expensive present.....;)

Mrs NM's birthday presents are often wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper  . With 4 minis, its quite an exercise shopping for 10 gifts at the same time to cover a birthday and Christmas present from each of us.

My wife has her birthday on the 12th Dec, so a couple of weeks difference, and her presents had a wrap of birthday paper, then a wrap of xmas paper under that, and then her present. So she halved out on the presents.

I dont do the double wrap, her family did this when she was young.

She has horses now, and that is my gift to her. The gift that keeps giving, ......... every morning.
