They say one of the reasons for auction upgrades and operational upgrades, is to try to convert you to paying for Business Class fares. It's certainly very tempting... Check your points win a few days, and see if you have enough to upgrade part of the journey on the way back. You can work out how many you expect to receive, and contact them through Facebook or Twitter after a few days if they haven't appeared yet.
The first time I was upgraded by
Etihad (on an overbooked flight from Abu Dhabi to Sydney) I slept almost the whole 14 hours, so much so that at the end of it I felt I hadn't squeezed enough benefit out of the flight! Mind you, it was the worst jet lag I've ever had, and I find the same still - if I sleep well on the flight, my jet lag takes much longer to dissipate.
