I'll blame that on Ausbt I think for advertising it so widely, spoilsports!

Sorry ferni! I just realised to my horror that in my haste to submit the application I didn't "expand" the terms and conditions before I took the screenshot... Hope I'll be third time lucky next year.

If you got in before the change you should be fine, I scraped in by hours last time.

I'm curious about what they mean by not available to members of partner programmes and how this will play out in practice.
It could simply mean gold status with a partner programme isn't eligible for status matching.
Or it could mean if you are a member of a partner programme AT ALL, you are ineligible, regardless of how many non-partner programmes you have Gold status with. In which case I wonder if they will actually check each application with each partner programme. Seems unlikely.
Finally while it says only Gold status wil be matched I hope they mean Gold or better will be recognised, but you will only receive gold from EY.
 
That's what happened previously. I'm platinum on both QF and VA. Sent off my QF card and was matched to EY Gold. Not sure how EY could determine who is a member of a partner airline as I assume that type of info wouldn't be easy to come by.
 
That's good news. As I am in exactly the same situation status-wise, hopefully the outcome will be the same!
 
Probably not unless you are intending on flying etihad but your va WP will give you F lounge access anyhow but etihad gold won't

Apart from the wallet candy, probably not. However it does give you another non-VA/QF status which potentially could be used in another status match offer.
That's the main reason I took it up.

Slow and steady wins the race? At least you didn't have to deal with all the stress from the ever changing terms and conditions...

Should you join the FF programme before sending request for status match or if accepted EY will join you up as part of the approval process?
