Extremely Cheap Etihad Business Class MNL-Italy-SE Asia

How are most people getting to MNL. I think it's not that easy to get to from ADL
I live in ADL and we have done a couple of trips on points to MNL and the first couple of trips it was QF points ADL-SYD-MNL but the last one we did we used Aeroplan points to fly SQ ADL-SIN-MNL for 45k. It’s 45k points in J for ADL-SIN so for many Asian ports you get a free flight.

QF or SQ would be the main options, both with one stop but easy enough (and you can often book with points).

For something different, last week I flew BNE-ROR on QF and then ROR-MNL on UA. With 3 days in Palau along the way. Was great (even if both flights were on 737s)!

Not sure I want to do 6 hours in a 737 to get to ROR though ;)

PER rather nicely has a direct JQ service, so that is what my folks are taking. Given their last MH flight was subbed last minute from an A330 to a 737, they've pretty much just resigned themselves to getting short haul planes on most hops out of PER to SEA, so JQ will be fine.

Are they Y only
