If you're looking for a new credit card that earns American Express Membership Rewards Points, we have some good news.

You can earn an extra 20,000 bonus points - in addition to the regular sign-up bonus points - when you apply through AFF by 27 May 2025. This is a partner offer that isn't available directly through American Express.

The eligible cards are:

Details here:

Not sure about other cards but for Explorer, I would suggest using a fellow referral link that provides applicant of 110,000 bonus points, and referrer 40,000 points. (My app shows this offer)

I can see 275,000 for Amex Platinum and 110,000 offered for Amex Explorer just on the Amex Website which are far higher than the 'special deals'

This isn't a good offer sorry.

The Platinum Business offer is good.

It’s poor form for AFF to be advertising offers that are worse than applying directly through Amex on the others though.

The offers available through AFF aren't worse than the publicly available offers being advertised by American Express. The base bonus points are the same, and by applying through AFF you can get an extra 20,000 bonus points.

As a few people have commented on this forum, sometimes the American Express website does offer better targeted offers to selected people on its own website. These offers are not publicly available to everyone, but are targeted to specific people and are only available if the person applies for the card during that browsing session. If some people can get a better offer elsewhere, there's nothing stopping them using it :)

FWIW, this is the Amex Explorer offer I'm currently seeing on the American Express website:

The Platinum Amex is 275,000 directly or 220,000 through your link.

The publicly available offer on the Platinum Amex card is currently 200,000 Membership Rewards Points.

I suspect you're probably seeing a targeted offer on the American Express website which is individual to you, and described as such.
Yeah that targeted offer seems to be targeted to my work IP, home IP, phone on 5G, and all my partner’s devices. They must really want me.

I'd recommend people to either check the Amex website or just use the referral offers people share on AFF or Ozbargain.

A few clicks and you are guaranteed to get more points than what is offered via the affiliate links being advertised here.Screen Shot 2025-05-09 at 9.02.57 pm.png
