Just noticed 'Express path' today for outbound immigration and security. Flying SQ in Y as a *G rendered me eligible to use this service. :)

You'll get an 'Express path' card from the check in agent if eligible.

Is this service new? And does it exist for arrivals as well?

It's been around for a month or two - SYD, MEL & BNE.

Plenty of mention in relation to the new MEL & SYD Flounges/checkin/etc.

Must remember this for my next trip - not so concerned about immigration due to APEC card, but would be good for security.

Ditto, my APEC card allows me to spearhead the immigration queue. However, it does become coughbersome if I'm travelling in a group. Usually I'll leave them behind and organise to meet at the lounge. However, with the express lane avail, it should mean faster processing for my travelling companions. Is this applicable only to status star alliance or can one world members also take advantage of the express lane?

I always thought it's a Flounge thing - didn't think it applied to pax down the back with shiny elite cards. Then again I didn't get express path last month as a sapphire on BA WT+ out of SYD. :(

Now that I know better I'd be sure to ask for the card at check in. Different airlines may have different policies, but it doesn't hurt asking I guess. ;)

Based on my recent experiences Oneworld Emeralds are eligible for express path voucher.
