I suspect that this question has already been answered but what does the following sort of stuff mean in relation to upgrades

"Expert Flyer shows following for QF 94 on 28/10:
F8 A8 J9 C9 D0 I0 W9 R8 T5 Y8 B4 H3 K5 M4 L4 V4 S4 G0 E0"

Thanks for your patience as new to this forum.

Others with far superior knowledge than mine will likely chime in. However, if you're talking about 28 October 2011, I think you'll find most people would say forget about upgrades for at least seven or so months. These numbers can and do change daily (and even within a day, the closer it gets to departure).

General information, however: first, if you hover over or click (I can't remember right now) on each letter, expertflyer will tell you which class each represents. For example, L is economy, C is business etc. Second, Qantas never displays more than X0 (where X in this case represents any letter, no X class which is a class in itself, if that makes sense). So by the numbers at the moment, first, business and premium economy are pretty empty and economy is a long way from full - as to be expected 10 months out. In terms of upgrades specifically, I'll wait for someone with more clues than I. (I hope I haven't provided information you already know.)

Thanks. That link explains it all. When new to a forum, it sometimes difficult to extract this type of information.

What class are you flying and what do you want to get? The Y numbers look good for UG this far out as some here will attest!!

Sorry for the confusion. It was just a cut and paste from another thread where there was all this jargon which I now fully understand.
