Experiences on Qantas staff travel

It would be interesting to know how many QF staff travelers go (got) into say a Cathay, AA or JAL lounge.

The system might not be able to tell they are a QF staff traveler.

They can tell. At some outposts, QF often include a message in the service remarks on boarding passes to indicate that the pax is on staff travel.

I do know that the flight attendants can see who is travelling on staff travel on their flight but just a thought process accessing pay per entry lounges

Pay per entry lounges do not care, it's a paid lounge, they just take your money.

They have no relationships with the airlines

Agreed - I entered the Rex lounge in MEL using Priority Pass all the time while flying staff travel on JQ.

what about on international flights
It makes no difference. A paid lounge will accept any passenger.

The prohibition on staff travellers using the lounge - for those airlines that restrict it - is two fold. It saves $$, and it reduces crowding.

Neither of those things concern a paid lounge. Their primary goal is to get as many people in as they can.

Not on staff travel, but if you have to go through AKL, the Strata will accept you, staff travel or not, they dont care.
They just prefer you to prebook, and then they stamp the back of your BP, so you can do a sneaky and come back into that lounge...
Have done it several times, ie, pay to enter and use, (not on QF staff travel tho).
