Saw an article in the paper last weekend which got my interest, 50% the cruise fare and kids travel free.
The sweet spot for this deal though is that kids travel free using existing bedding. So if use their website to book 2 x adults, 2 x kids you can get a 7 night cruise, all meals etc for $1,499 inc gst. (fuel surcharge extra $280) The cabin is a four bunk bed style. The deals were not as attractive if you have 3 kids which requires you to have two cabins.
There is availability still during January school holidays.
The draw backs...it is cyclone and stinger season.
May not appeal to everyone. If you have enough points to get you, your partner and two kids to Cairns before the end of the holidays it is good value.
