Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

Rookie mistake

Had 2 offers for spending $50 at EG petrol...

Put in $50ish at the pump, went to pay, and due to 4c per litre discount it went down to $49.99 and meant I missed both offers. About 2000 EDR points

I would have filled the car but the petrol was 7c per litre more than surrounding stations

Oh well
I did precisely the same thing not realising that the 4c is automatic (if you have one valid) when scanning rewards card which you must do to get the 1000pts.

The pricing at EG in the ACT is wild. Due to the Costco, Airport is 20c/L cheaper than those nearer me in the south and 10c cheaper than the next cheapest.

slight nudge up to 1300 points and cash nudge down to $200.
Card's staying in the drawer for a while until those nudges become shoves

2400pts x Shop in store or online and spend $120 in one or more shops at Woolworths until Sunday, 30 November. This stacks nicely with my 14000pt $115 x 3 offer.

Bupkis this morning. Will just do the spend to get the 10K points.

Yep after getting no where near their silly $220 spend past two weeks (both sub $100) got nothing this week except 100 points on pantry staples.

Woolies clearly only interested in large households who spend crazy amounts.

100 points on $10 spend for each category

Pantry, Freezer, Sunscreen

More interested in next weeks offer if another lucrative offer appears after this weeks $170/18k offer ends.

X4 points on e gift cards also.

Collect 80 points by buying Granny Smith apples (minimum spend $4). I guess trying to get me to eat better :)

All i got as 1200 for a $210 spend, never going to happen. Seriously who needs to spend that much at supermarket? That is double my normal weekly shop. Not even going to click boost.
Any thoughts on whether boosting an offer ( and not shopping there that week) or not boosting and not shopping at Woolies. (i.e. boosting an offer you have no intention of using)
Does either action improve subsequent offers ?

Tactics like that have had no impact on my account.

I think you need to ditch Woolies for a number of weeks before their algorithms notice and try to entice you back.

FWIW, for those who didn't get the first few offers, my first three offers are:
1. 10x points on prawns and seasonal bakery
2. 5x points on a $50+ shop at Big W
3. 10x points at BWS

(Far more useful is 2000 points for a $70 in-store shop at Woolworths Metro ending 24/12.)
