I agree re Sarajevo although at night I found a great vibe in the 'Ottoman' old town. Outside of the capital, I found Bosnia & Herzegovina simply gorgeous, bordering on worth a second visit, but as you observed, its 'poor fellow my country' with the competing interests of its neighbours brought inside.
