Hi....flying EY Diamond First MEL - LHR - MEL (actually via SYD code share VA as the direct flight arrival time LHR didn't suit..and we wanted to try the EY lounge in SYD) in Sept in "R" class x 2 (wife).we have no status with anyone...although I family pool to her in Velocity...
With R class, we don't get enough status miles each to make EY gold...would we be better crediting to Velocity....my wife has a number of flown sectors...so maybe she will make Velocity platinum next year?..plus she would have 100K miles...would this be a good option rather than having the base miles in EY guest?...
On another subject..should we check our luggage straight through from MEL to LHR via the VA international desk..or just through to SYD, pick up there and recheck at the EY desk in SYD?...getting a bit worried thst something might go wrong and our luggage gets misplaced on the transfer (already a thread on this forum)
