Etihad Guest Gold VA lounge access domestic

Hi,

I dropped to Silver in VA so lately to gain lounge access I have been flashing my Etihad gold card and the lounge staff usually just put number into computer and allow me access.

I did a flight recently where the staff member told me she had to do something specifically to ensure Etihad are charged for my lounge access.
Took about 5 minutes and she reprinted me a ticket.

I have not been credited any SC for this flight after a few weeks so thought I would check Etihad. I how have miles in that account from this flight.

Anyone else had the same experience or know which is the correct procedure? All i wanted was lounge access not points sent to Etihad.

Just tell them you only want lounge access and you want to keep your EY FF #. But double check the FF number on the boarding pass if they do reprint it.

reasons for reprinting previously were that they weren't sure if my air NZ one would scan for the flight but I've tried it and it has so no reason to reprint BP.

Ive used VA lounges with my NZ card but never had the earning switched on me.

Thanks for heads up, I have been a long time browser of the forums to answer my questions but couldn't find anything in this case. Can this be done in account settings or do I need to request a username change?

Welcome to the forum.

It sounds like the agent changed your frequent flyer number to the EY number, granted entry to the lounge, and reprinted the boarding pass. You can always ask for this to be changed back to your VA number.

Send a PM to admin who can assist with your username.

I use a partner elite card for the same reason ( dropped down to silver)
I make sure I book using my velocity number and just show staff in the lounge my card. They always put in the other ff number but i make sure I tell them I want to earn velocity SCS...

Then just hand your boarding pass (with velocity number) and elite Etihad card over for priority boarding which works fine also

This is what has happened every other time, And the Lady said they have all been doing it wrong LOL.

It has messed with my return leg. I tried to do online checkin today and it will not retrieve with my Velocity FF number. When I try with booking reference It has my Etihad and will not let me edit it.
It wants to charge me $35 for the second bag and As i will not pay online it will not let me go any further.

I'm going to have to sort it out at the airport as I do not want this happening again.
