He's done a reasonable job at turning EY around after the complete mess that James Hogan left the carrier in.
Although some cuts were sad, they were ultimately needed to turn the carrier around.

Also it seems Douglas was poached by Saudi Arabia, heavily speculated to join RIA.

Given what the Saudis are prepared to throw at someone to play a game of golf, it’s not surprising he’s jumped ship. Do a couple of years and be set up for life.

Might be just a little more difficult to get RIA up and running compared to refocussing an airline that already exists, but good luck to him.
