Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows Etihad's billing location? I need to buy a fare with them over the next couple of days. Reason I ask is that I need to let 28 degrees know in advance...a purchase last month for a slightly less amount through EK (ex-ATH) was rejected because of the suspect location of the transaction (UAE), so I had to swallow the EK conversion rate and pay with my Westpac debit MC.

At a guess it is the UAE but I am not 100% sure if it will be that, or the fares country of origin?

Booking via the EY website.

Thanks in advance to anyone that can help :)

I think it's fare location - I booked MAA-AUH last year and the billing location was India.... which I would have thought was far dodgier than UAE ;) Worked without problems though - MasterCard (via Westpac) seem to let these bookings go through without question, whereas AMEX send me an SMS at the time and then start calling to verify I am really buying the ticket.

Thanks drmikki for your help :)

I will report back once I decide which dates I desire and book :)

I booked LHR-MEL-LHR in January and it was billed in GBP.
