ETA for New Zealand from October 2019 - not for Australian Citizens

From 1 October 2019 people from visa waiver countries travelling to or transiting NZ will require an ETA. fee will be NZ$9 for mobile apps and NZ$12 via a browser.

Plus a new 'International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy' of NZ$35 will also be collected.

Neither of these measures will apply to Australian citizens.

I assume this is because the US and Canada (and soon the EU) are doing the same thing.
