USA does have Australia on the "you don't need six months on your passport " . I have checked on the updated Jan 2024 list from USA .
This is just a question about what happens antedocally not what is supposed to happen .
Has anyone been denied at Sydney airport with less than six months on their passport travelling to USA ? Probably Qantas maybe Hawaiian
Question:
April 2024 current esta expires , need to renew . Is there any issues with an esta being applied for, for passport that only has validity for four months
June 2024 - quick trip to USA
August 2024 - passport expires

Wasn't really wanting to get a new passport early just to have a few days in USA
Hope this makes sense :)

I took the now-Teen on a trip to the USA when she had less than 6 months validity left (and I wanted to squeeze every possible day out of that 5-year passport!).
No issues departing Aus or arriving in the US.

The ESTA will just be valid for the 4 months, and expire with the passport.

There’s no way I would not renew your ESTA as it runs out in April, and you’re travelling in June. Asking to be denied checking in.
