Hasn’t QF just finished a rebuild of their Auckland lounge?

No idea what it’s like, but a brand spankers F lounge might be better than EK’s J lounge … ?

I believe they’re still near each other, as per Ye Olde Times, so you could check both out.

Yes if it's open.
Think current hours are only 5-8pm 3/wk with EKs reduced schedule (think it used to be 12pm-8pm daily before Qantas arranged for it to be open from 6am when their lounge was being renovated)

And even when it's back to normal hours don't think you'd be able to use it before QF3 as North American flights aren't part of the QF/EK deal.

The Qantas renovated lounge is very nice, plus if platinum they have a seperate area with sit down dining and better wine. Can always use both, right next door

Emirates has proper champagne for non-WPs. That would be a drawcard for many. Otherwise the QF lounge is generally better.

Go there for a glass of verve. First, then move to qantas. As gold emeritus and flagship lounges in the us are better, as platinum there are often equivalent or better options

Do a taste-test, try the stuff with the Champagne label in the EK lounge and immediately go over to QF to compare the New Zealand made sparkling wine they have!

Just an update I decided to just go to the Qantas lounge
The lounge is very spacious and the platinum dining area can not fault the food

Will be there for about 4 hours end of May...can't wait to check it out...have been to the old Qf lounge F section many times and more recently the Emirates lounge.

It was probably about 10yrs ago when my better-half was still QF P … we went into the QF P lounge, looked around briefly, and walked straight back outside & over to the EK J lounge. I’m sure their bacon is halal!
I’m not Harry Potter, I don’t feel most comfortable in a cupboard under the stairs.
The new QF lounge seems to have been a long time coming!
