From ATW Daily News:

Emirates Group reported net income of AED4.2 billion ($1.14 billion) for its fiscal year ended March 31, a substantial increase over a AED1.49 billion profit in 2008-09, marking its 22nd consecutive profitable year despite what it described as "a year fraught with worldwide market instability and economic uncertainty."

That's a huge jump, but not surprising because their profit last year was a huge drop, so like most airlines they're back on the way up again.

Wowsers!!!!

Sounds like they are having a tough year that other airlines can only dream about!!!

Lets see how long it takes for someone to say that they get their fuel for free?

Someone already did... but I do not really think they get their fuel for free....

It is said that striking is illegal in the UAE... although I wouldn't think that EK employees would be paid diddly-squat
