Hi Everybody,
My husband and I are flying Emirates F class to Rome from Brisbane..Seat Guru don't show any bassinets on the A380 in F but the Qantas seat map has them in row 3 in the middle..
My question is what do all you frequent flyers out there think of seats 1E and F...Are they too close to the Galley ?..Have reserved Row 2E & F but the bassinets have thrown me..
Thoughts anyone ??
Cheers

Have you checked your booking on the EK site, or the seat maps on the EK site? That could help.

You may not get too many answers in the Introductions sub-forum.
I know that was a strange place to submit my question...I haven't used this site a lot and I cannot seem to find the correct way to do so...Once logged in John which section do I go to put forward a question ?
Cheers

Emirates seat map does not show specific bassinet seats. Have flown EK F to Italy a few times and never had problems with basinetts or children, but chissà. Usually we chose 1/2 either middle E/F or on the side K.

There's always noise cancelling headphones (supplied ones are not very good - buy some QC20/15's) or ear plugs for emergencies. :)

btw: The new EK lounge in Rome is excellent. Far better than any other lounge at the airport.

I have just received my E ticket from Emirates and the bassinets are placed in 3 E,F.
Also found a little virtual tour through the F cabin and there is only the showers and the steps behind the wall of row 1 ..So thinking there shouldn't be a lot of noise from 1EF..Noticed Mr Rooflyer commented he flew F Ek..If you are reading this have you got a comment ? Ps ..TMA ,Nice Red..!

There's no problem with row 1 on the EK 380. The "galley" in front isn't a food preparation area - it is a shower spa service area. Plus while sleeping you'll be ensconced in your EK F suite so you won't be aware of what is going on up there anyway.

Thanks Homer,I discovered a virtual tour and noticed that...

Row 1 will be fine. To be honest row 2 would also be ok as the suites are pretty much self contained. Have flown around 20 F sectors in EK F and yet to share the cabin with a baby...

Thanks everyone
Have since changed the flight home and scored EK/ QF combo both F so by what is available at the moment with seating we will be trying 1ef , 2 ef
and then single seats on the side on another leg...Try them all ..!!
Cheers

It would seem that way but Marge and I once caused a minor fracas by going in together. We were just trying to be efficient - she was doing her hair and makeup while I had my shower - and there was a knock at the door by an FA who told us that "one of the other staff members had complained". We dismissed the alleged complaint and carried on and when I discussed it with the CSM later he explained that some of the more prudish members of staff (it is a UAE carrier, after all) can get a little carried away at times.

I suppose one can do a Ralph Fiennes!

So I suppose that asking for some Champagne to be served to you both while camped in there would be out of the question? ;)
