Heads up that my September flight has been changed. Doing Q code share to pick up QF1 at DXB (well, was doing this).
The 15.00 approx flight from Perth is cancelled (not sure when the last one flies).
The 22.00 flight was changed from 777 to A380 recently and I presume this is a flow on affect.
The PER-DXB leg no longer connects with QF1 so have to take QF9 to LHR and arrive just in time for the rush hour in London
As may carefully picked cattle class seat on QF1 is lost, I have to change dates to get the same seat on QF9.
Lucky I am retiring on Friday so not a problem but may cause grief for others.
Staff member I spoke with said the Qantas call centre in Melbourne finishes in 2 months and Brisbane next leaving just Hobart and Auckland.
Loyalty is getting strained by all this.
