We have just flown from Bris to Dubai / Dubai to Amsterdam on the A380

We had the chauffer service which was great. The service we thought was excellent on the flight. We enjoyed the bar on the plane. It was great to be able to walk around and go to the bar.

We didn't like the actual seats and found them not very comfortable . We had two seats side by side and there was a privacy screen between the seats. It would only retract partially and we found it got in the way when sleeping .

On the return flight Budapest to Dubai were on the 777. We thought the seats were comfortable.

Dubai to Bris was the best on the A380. We had two seats alongside each other on the aisles

I found the J seats on the A380 DXB-FCO pretty uncomfortable (we also had the two middle seats), but thought maybe it was because we had flown in first for the SIN-DXB leg and I was a tad bit hungover from all the Dom and Hennessy Paradis :)

So friend got upgrade offer $300 Melb-->Auckland.... Took it but less than 48hrs.... No chauffer and no lounge access.....
Thought no lounge access a bit stiff?
Comments

And is stated in the offer iirc.

And there's never chauffeur on the standalone Trans Tasman flights
Yes - it is stated. Nice when Status kicks in. I ‘didn’t see’ the chauffeur comment but that is true too. Status no help there. MrP accepted upgrade offer ADL-DXB a couple of years ago. Status was WP so lounges were covered but no chauffeur as stated.

Just confirming.... Thanks for the input!
Did not realise bar at back on 380
Row 23!
