Hi there

I'm a Qantas Platinum member and I have two questions about the benefits of flying on EK.

1. If I'm booked on a QF codeshare and my wife is on a separate booking, but on the same flight but on an EK flight number, can she be my guest at the Dubai First Lounge? She's travelling on the same flight, but it's just the EK number versus the QF codeshare flight number. Both flying in Y.

2. Can I (and wife as guest) access EK partner lounges as a Qantas Platinum while flying in Y?

Cheers

Pretty sure 1. Is yes and 2. Is a yes if you are on an EK flight you can access the EK lounges

Yes will be travelling on EK flight - but to some of the secondary locations (such as MLA) where EK uses partner lounges.

What about the priority check-in benefits - if my wife (and infant) and I check in at the same time and she's on a different booking (no status), can she use priority check-in and the like with me?

As long as one person in your family has status you can check I together at a priority desk

Can any one else confirm number 1? If I'm on QF codeshare and my wife is on a separate booking but on the EK flight number, can she be my guest since we're still on the same flight?

Cheers :)

Yes, there's no problem if you are WP.

Yes, thanks - I'm aware of that, my question was more whether the quest is considered to be 'travelling with the member on the same flight' if they are ticketed on EK when I'm ticketed on QF.

The answer from all appears to be yes, so thanks all :)
