My next RTW trip is on Oneworld, but I noticed that for a lot of the places I'm visiting Emirates would be more convenient and quicker. For instance, Brisbane-Dubai is almost direct (on Cathay it means going through Hong Kong, a much longer trip) and Dubai-Glasgow on BA means a three hour wait at Heathrow, instead of a direct flight.

Is it possible to book a business or first RTW trip using Emirates or partner airlines at the same sort of cost as a Oneworld RTW ticket? Destinations this time are Dubai, Europe, Canada and then back to Australia again.

Thanks!

Here is a mixed Emirates / Air Tahiti Nui.

and a more mixed airlines ATW:

Australian Travel Agent : Best Flights - discount travel - Travel Agent Australia (Economy)
Australian Travel Agent : Best Flights - discount travel - Travel Agent Australia (Business).

Have a chat to your local agent and/or one of the online sites and see what they can offer.

I'm not sure you'll get a purely Emirates ATW ticket, but you should be able to get some Emirates flights to where you want to go in conjunction with another airline or few.

Yup many mixed airline RTWs exist. A popular one on FT is EK/UA ex-BKK (there are 2 versions, you'd need the southern hemisphere one assuming you want to include Australia/NZ). Much cheaper than xONEx and xRWSTARx.
