Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I find it amusing that people here are complaining that Red Roo and the like do not disclose their real names when at the same time many don't disclose their own names and hide behind their AFF usernames.

i don't think it is unusual. in personal correspondence you would generally exchange names.

in a public forum. the company holds the upper hand. if you find loop-holes or whatever else, there is a chance the company might examine your account, or otherwise act in a way which limits the customer's ability to take advantage of prevailing terms and conditions or fares.

many people may may also not want their personal opinions to be confused with any official capacity they have, for example employment.

when you call qantas reservations the agent starts the call by giving their name!!

Is your company in the same league as QF?

And re: comment about the virgin execs emails on the website, do you really think that they're their real day-to-day email address? I wouldn't bet on it.

as I mentioned before, the CEO of United gives out their personal email address.

Just an interesting point to all this, if you happen to go to the V.A. web site - go to 'About Us' - 'Company Overview' - 'V.A. Group Exec Team' - Each member of the Exec team has an e-mail address very clearly published......

Yes, they do, while they may not read every email their PA would. But I have been successful using this type of email, Roger Corbett Woollies CEO at the time phoned and told me my issue would be actioned, my local Mayor followed up some outstandings and prior to the previous election Tony Abbott phoned me to say although he wouldn't deal with something himself he would have someone call me about it.

All good experiences.

Previously I have asked Red Roo not to contact without providing a name and contact number in a PM, as someone else pointed out it's just polite and good practice.

QF simply choose to do things differently, therefore I deal with any issues I have with QF differently as well. No big deal but I still think QF staff need to put their names and contact details out a bit more which would lend some credibility to the quality and service they promote. Walk the talk.:D

But they also hide when dealing with people via a personal message which is ironic as it's very impersonal.

I have e-mailed 1) Mark Hassell and 2) Neil Thompson on different matters under their respective control / watch. On both occasions I received very prompt formal replies fully addressing the issues I raised - On top of that I actually received a phone call from one of these gentlemen in regard to the issue I had raised to get a little more detail ......so regardless of wether these are their 'real day to day e-mail' addresses or not .......they work .....or at least they did for me.

I think the difference is Public posts vs PMs.

RedRoo can only help with someone's particular issue if they give a personal identifier such as a name, FF number or PNR. In these circumstances, in a PM, it is just courtesy to give a name.
