I did not receive an email notification of this but stumbled upon it in "My Account". Pity I can't do enough travel this year to qualify for Platinum reward.

Big thread on FT:

ELTAA: 2011 AAdvantage Elite Rewards (now based on EQP) - FlyerTalk Forums

Many EXP are wingeing that this is based on EQP's rather than segments or EQM's.

Obviously AA are rewarding revenue more than simple activity. Makes sense to me.
EQP works well for me . My EQP to EQM ratio is exactly 1.5 ;).

Now I am almost certain to pass the 75K EQP threshold. But I am hoping to cross the 100K EQP threshold which won't earn me any extra elite rewards (beyond normal EQP benefits), and I am most unlikely to get to 125K EQP. In fact if I reach 100K EQP I may through any additional trips to QF to top up my now dwindling QFF balance that I use for upgrades.
