Yada Yada, No it was AA and the announcement was made "As we are now shutting the front door, ALL electronic items must now be switched off". The pax was using it in front of FA whilst we taxied, and continued to use it as we gathered speed on the runway and during ascent.

Thats very polite of you Yada Yada. Terms I thought of were arrogant and inconsiderate. There were others I thought of, but can not use in this forum as I dont wish to be "d00ted".

"Naughty" is word of the day in my house. We've just acquired a new puppy.

I felt the same way as you last year when I observed someone texting on an SQ flight during takeoff. Thankfully an FA spotted him and asked him to desist.

LMAO!!! That's a great new word. Must store that away for later use. ;)

I wonder if d00t ever came back under another alias? :-|

I have to admit, I have wondered that myself. At times I have seen a few posts that could be from a reincarnation. Either way he is keeping a low profile (I think Big Brother talk is "flying under the radar") by lurking, a new alias or going cold turkey.

Was this on QF? You are allowed to use your mobile phone during taxying.
Only after landing and after you are "advised" by the CSM.

Before Take-Off such devices are supposed to be switched off (after putting into 'flight mode' where appropriate') when the main cabin door is closed/as advised.
