G'day,

About to step on my flight EK433 (Brissy --> Singapore --> Dubai).
In Singapore there will be a 1,5 hour stopover (refuel?), does anyone know (who recently flew this route) if you can leave the aircraft during that period to stretch legs or must you remain on board?

Thanks in advance and much appreciated.

Hi there,

I have taken this flight and everyone must leave the aircraft during the Singapore stopover while it is cleaned/refuelled etc.

You must leave the aircraft and can have a nice stroll through Changi airport. There are some cheap duty free alcohol options available - This year I bought 1L bacardi for $20.

They'll probably tell you to go straight to the gate for the next flight but I wouldn't worry about that too much, you'll have plenty of time to take a walk around.

PS - make sure you don't leave any personal belongings on board!

Have done this flight also. Plenty of time between landing and boarding again so you do have plenty of time to walk around and stretch the legs and have a look at the shops. Obviously no stress on finding new gate for next flight either as it is same aircraft so same place. It is Changi airport so you have to go through security again (security at every gate) so things like a full water bottle are a no no. At least that's been my experience so you just have to fill it up on board or sometimes they have water coolers inside the gate.

Everyone is asked to get off the aircraft in SIN was my experience in October. From memory you may be able to leave your carryon in the overhead bins?
