Hey there, We are thinking about flying on the 2am Emirates to Dubai business class 777. Has anyone flown this schedule? What's it like? Do they have flat beds? Or the almost flat... more of an awkward angle bed?

Has BC on EK409 from Melbourne been 're-fitted?

Thanks for any feedback.

I am not sure if you are aware of it or not. But that flight has a one and half hour stop in KL on the way to Dubai.

It looks like EK409 now goes direct to Dubai. Interesting.
In airline-speak, direct does not always mean non-stop. It just means its the same flight number and can be ticketed as Origin-Destination without noting the transit airport in the ticket details.

A flight may appear to be non-stop because there is no mention of Kuala Lumpur when it displays the basic info for the MEL/DXB flight.

Note that when airlines refer to the terminology of a 'direct flight' they are talking about a one plane through service with the same flight number that may have one or more stops en-route. A punter will hear 'direct flight' and translate that into 'non-stop'.

I speaking to Garuda once about a flight they had CGK/LON and asked them where the stopover was & their response was "it's a direct flight". As the a/c operating the flight was a 747-200 I said to them "it's got to stop somewhere as it can't to CGK/LON non-stop" & after looking a bit more closely they replied "oh it goes via SIN/BKK/AUH & AMS".
