Hi. Flying tonight on EK is Y class. Am QF WP. What's the best lounge? QF or EK. Especially, which one has the best champagne:)?!

If you had flown OneWorld then you could've gone to the CX lounge.

As you're flying EK, a OneWorld lounge is not an option.

The special champagne is on request for P1 and CL in premium lounges e.g. HKG. It's a pretty good lounge as far as QF lounges go, but it's not in the same class as the QF FLounges in MEL and SYD.

If you have enough time perhaps you could try both lounges?

Yep. Is my first time flying out of HKG non-oneworld in years. Longer than I can remember. Love the CX lounge but not an option. Have never used either QF or EK in HKG

My vote goes to the QF lounge, good food and drink options. I was only briefly in the EK lounge and found it a bit underwhelming.

The Emirates lounge has better food options but no character.

The food in Qantas lounge is also good and they have Pure Blonde.

EK lounge, the bare concrete and 'empty void' design in the Qantas lounge irks me no end

I've been to both lounges within the last 18 months. EK is my advice without hesitation.

I visited both. Food in QF is much better. Broader selection of salads and a more appetising main dish (chicken curry). While it is nice to have a bar tender decide at the QF lounge (missing from EK), EK gets a nose in front on the drinks by way of having Moët over QFa generic no name sparkling.
