Hello, first post here. I am (hoping) to be flying J out of FRA in May on EK and wonder what they will be doing RE lounge facilities at the new terminal?

Will T3 be a significant improvement?

Hello, just returned from our trip via DXB and FRA. I must say that T3 at FRA is a significant improvement over the existing terminals.

Still not designed with large open spaces but nicer stone and concrete build and not as grey as the existing terminals. A lot easier to navigate and more modern immigration and other facilities. Quite a pleasant overall experience.

They are still in the process of moving airlines across from T2 and the day we landed the air train was not operational, so a bus transfer back to T1/2 was in place.
The air train was working when we departed and was super fast and simple to get from the long distance train station to T3 on the other side of the airport.

The new Emirates lounge on level 5 is great - A really nice space overlooking the apron and runways, good food and various sitting areas. A lot of natural light too.
