EK Double daily A380 to PER from Aug 2016

EK are going to a double daily A380 service to PER from 01 August 2016.

Nice upgrade from the woeful 77W we have had for the past few years.

I can't help but think it's a missed opportunity to use a QF 787 for eg. PER-DXB-BER/FRA/MUC etc and increase frequency.

But I guess EK have all those A380s on order so need to deploy them and it'll sooner than QF can get a 787 on the route.

77W really isnt that bad. Adelaide will only ever have that service.

Funny that - I can distinctly remember a member arguing that EK would pull the 380 from the PER run due to the mining downturn etc, now EK are going double daily!

I completely agree that there is nothing wrong at all with the 777 - quite a nice aircraft if you ask me.

I like the 777 too. I still remember my first flight on one where I went into the coughpit and marvelled at the all glass coughpit. Ah the good old days when I was just a geek not a potential terrorist

It is the hard product people are referring to here - 10 across in Y and 2-3-2 in J isn't always everyone's cup of tea.

Probably with BER is that the new airport still isn't open!
