EDR Fuel - Points

7.5 pts per litre, I fill my car and the jerry cans for the lawn mowers etc

Usually get close to the 150litre maximum!

Today was my saddest moment with EDR. I filled my car to the nearest litre in order to maximise my next fill up.
I'm sadder, I've done the same and it overflowed, thus negating the extra 2 points gained with fuel on the ground :)

I fill to the first click, the top up (round up) to the next whole litre. Nothing wrong with it!

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I know what you mean.

I was just over 80 litres the other day and my dad told me off. Firstly for purchasing E10 and secondly for paying more for fuel. Seriously I find Woolworths petrol more expensive in my area where there are a lot of discount petrol stores. One can usually get 100% unleaded cheaper than E10 at Woolworths.

The bonus points are at best marginal in the overall calculations and are only just worth it with the 10c, 15c and 20c promotions.

I only have a 38 litre tank which severely impacts my point earning capacity :)

I doubt that getting a new car with a bigger tank to earn extra points will fly with Mr Natalie!

I use shell, as do my staff pay with nab amex, use my wifes flybuys card. Oh and i usually buy around 100k LITRES of fuel PA

I'm too poor to own a signature

Having a 38L tank is not the worst thing in the world;-)

Who else drives their partner crazy with the low fuel warning light/warning sound with the excuse "we won't run out, I just need to get it as empty as possible for the x cent per litre offer"?

And that would be a good thing.

I think buying a car with a bigger fuel tank to be able to earn more QFF points would just about take the cake....

That is why you need a few spare jerry cans...

What if I said that I would pay for it with my cc that earns 1.5 pts per dollar? :) I'm shaking my head at myself for even suggesting it!

Jerries are the answer. I find the decent fuel offers are nicely spaced so that I can use 100l before the next offer comes in, 69l tank helps. Of course, I'm still using up my BP gift cards.

I think it has been established that you are not alone in doing this. Probably just wondering why you only started doing it today

I pay for Woolies gift cards on EDRCC to get 5% off.
At the Woolies Caltex I scan the EDR and then pay with the Wish gift Card.
This procedure changed how and who I deal with as I switched from Shell and an Amex Ultimate plus Fly Buys to Woolies Caltex. I think I am getting a pretty good deal.
