Was on one of the SilkAir aircraft (with no divider) over the weekend flying Sydney to Perth.
There was a non stop stream of economy passenger using the toilet, including a queue through the business class cabin for a good half hour. The cabin manager was ok with this and was talking to them, opening the toilet door for them etc.
It also seemed there was a staff member paxing or someone the team knew. For some time there was the person from economy, one of the flight crew and three of the flight attendants all talking in front of the toilet. Whilst my problem at this stage wasn't the toilet as it wasn't in use, my quick calculation was there was only one crew member not at the very front of the aircraft. In an emergency situation, as unlikley as there would be, surely that's a safety concern?
