Earning status credits via credit cards

Hi there,

I was wondering whether anyone knows what date Qantas consider status credits to be earned - when they are earned via a credit card promotion.

Based on this example, do Qantas consider the status credits to be earned on 7 December or 10 December?

It would be 7 Dec in this example.

But status years run to the end of each calendar month, so either way they credit in December.

Think I've screwed up here, have a status challenge starting 1st March and flights booked to get me 40SC. Was planning to get the Qantas platinum card with 75SC to complete the challenge - have just gone to apply and it states applications up to 24th Feb... so I've missed it by two days.

Any ideas if this is still valid, likely to be extended or if there is any other way to get 60SC in the next 3 months, preferably without taking a flight?

Looks like it wasnt extended. My guess is that it will come back at some point this year, unlikely in the next 2 months as the current offer ends 3 May. I am not aware of any ground SC offers at the moment. With the current status extension offer for existing members, no existing members with status really needs SC until the first batch of status extensions kicks in end of March, so I doubt there will be on the ground sc offers until later this year, if any.
