I have a car loan with Esanda. I was wondering whether I could pay my car repayments with my visa or amex and earn QFF points. I rang Esanda and the customer service girl was vague and disintersted. Was just wondering whether this can be done at all? I know you can pay your rent, was curious whether I can pay my car the same way. Thanks, Connie

Welcome to AFF Connie!

Most likely it would not be possible. The only way I can think of would be if Esanda accepted BPAY from credit card and then whether that credit card allowed FF points earn on BPAYs.

Hello All,
I believe as a general rule, you cannot "pay credit with credit".

Granted its not Esanda, however when I was a customer of Toyota Finance, BPay with either my ANZ or Westpac credit card was not allowed through the internet banking system of the respective bank. When tried, the system said to use another account. I suspect, as mentioned if it was allowed, it would be recorded as a cash transaction and therefore be ineligible for the points and incur the interest from day 1 on the card, same as Travelex money purchases are.

Indeed there may even be some legislation within the AML(Anti Money Laundering) laws preventing this sort of thing also?

Dont think the OP will have any luck on the points earning :(
