I would suggest going for Kayo which doesn't have a trial.

Go with Kayo - it's $30 but you get the 1,000 points immediately on same day you subscribe (no need to wait for trial), and you get 10 SCs 2 days after.

Now need to figure out something with insurance. So is it enough if I just purchase dummy domestic travel policy for a week so value is over $100? or needs to be for specific domestic flight?

Most travel insurance goes unused - they don't know/care where you go/don't go (until you need to claim) - they just want the $. A number of reports upthread of examples.
