Earn up to 110 Qantas Status Credits on the ground

Credit card spend, Woolies everyday rewards, Marriot stay and Airport Ubers give me 50. Kayo and binge are useless to me. I’d get more points and fun flying with the same money than I would with marketplace. I’m moving next month so I doubt red energy points would arrive in time. No trips by EOY to insure and QANTAS insurance is poor value. I think I’m just better off paying for flights.

Has anyone had any experience with the Choice hotels points transfer?

I stayed at a comfort Inn Karratha for a few days last week and have seen nothing as yet. I put my QF number at check in.

Booked through work T A so perhaps not eligible.
I did a transfer early last week. Points have come through but no SC yet…

Taking into account my upcoming flight which would net me 48SC, I'd be 16SC short of Silver.

Looked at all the options, seems just booking a ~$350-400 return flight somewhere and enjoying a weekend trip would be easier than signing up to / purchasing unnecessary things.

Cards and Banking - I've already got a QFF points earning card but it isn't listed / I'm not going to apply for a new one.

So I actually got 20 SC from the Cards and Banking section and am now Silver until next November - woohoo! 😅

And in quick time as well. Think my 20SC for Cards and Banking landed within 24 hours of AMEX points arriving in my QFF account.
I can confirm that the Membership Rewards points I transferred from my Amex UK as expected did not earn any Status Credits. This is completely in line with their rules but I thought I'd do a transfer anyway in case their was an IT error in my favour, but sadly not☹️.

Being in the UK limits what ones I can do. I've already got the 10 SC for hotels via a Marriott transfer and I hopefully should be able to get a couple more 10 SC ones. I don't think any of the 20 SC ones are achievable, as I don't believe I can take out any of the financial or insurance products from outside Australia, and I certainly can't take out Red Energy or Solargain.

Technically you can take out an insurance policy, whether you actually travel in line with that policy is another question but that won't void the policy for the purposes of paying a premium or receiving points (and SC)

I noticed that my Kayo subscription isn't linked to QFF, so I signed up a second account last night, and 12 hours later have 1100 points. Will cancel today, a small sacrifice given my existing subscription is 1/2 price for 12 months, and I'm keen to hit QFF Gold this year.

I'm happy with the 50SC I would have flown to get.. For 20 I've spent $135 on an insurance policy for a short trip to NZ. The other 30 was just stand standard cc and Woolies spend. LTG is just a flight away now.
How did you do the $135 insurance policy?
